Vision Insurance
AdvanStaff HR is delighted to offer a comprehensive vision plan to our worksite employer groups.
Plan offerings are made at the direction of the worksite employer. If your worksite offers vision coverage, you will enroll during hiring or through annual open enrollment via the employee portal.
If your employer offers vision coverage, it is usually offered to full-time employees who opt-in. Employee contributions are made via payroll deductions.
It is important to verify the carrier, the plan, and the coverage available to you.
It’s important you verify coverage before choosing a vision provider.
To verify coverage:
- Log in to the Employee Portal
- Click on the “Benefits Tab”
- Click on the “Summary” (see image below)
- Confirm for your vision plan and coverage
Employee Portal Example:
Any benefit plan enrollments will be listed on this page. Here you can verify the carrier, plan name, enrollment status, and your monthly contribution amount.
Once you verify enrollment, you know your carrier and plan to find a contracted provider.
Important Note
AdvanStaff offers a “master” policy vision plan. A master policy is a competitive, full-featured group insurance plan many of our worksite employers offer.
If the benefit program listed on the employee portal benefit summary is not identified as “UHC” (United HealthCare), your employer may offer a unique plan specific to your group.
If that carrier is not listed in the Employee Info Center on the AdvanStaff website, please contact our benefits department for assistance.
Once you confirm you are enrolled in UHC Vision.
You have several options to find a provider in your area.

Contact your favorite provider and ask if they are an in-network and a United HealthCare (UHC) Vision coverage provider. If so, you are all set!
Using your UHC Vision benefits couldn’t be any easier. But before you can schedule your appointment, you will need to do the following:
- Confirm you are enrolled in UHC Vision.
- Locate a participating provider (see step above)
- Your member ID is your SSN. Any dependents will also access benefits under the covered employee’s SSN.
UHC makes it easy to access your benefits.
With their paperless system, there are no identification cards to track. However, you can easily print one from myuhcvision.com if you’d like one. Click on āPrintĀ ID Cardā under āView Benefits.ā
When making your appointment, give the provider the patientās name and date of birth, and identify the patient as a vision plan member. The provider will verify the patientās eligibility and coverage with us before the scheduled appointment.
