Email Address Requirements

Email is a critical part of the identification criteria for the Employee Self-Service Portal.

All Employee Portal users’ initial MFA security validation codes are sent to the user’s primary email address.

Codes can be sent to the user’s preferred method settings: Email or SMS (text).

The email address is kept on the user’s profile and used for password recovery, password reset requests, and other critical employee communications.

No worries! Anyone can get a free email address from many service providers. The most popular services are listed below:

Most of these services have native mobile apps or easily connect to both workstation and mobile OS platforms.

Email is not secure, but it is used to validate your user and to register devices to the secure AdvanStaff Employee Portal.

We do not recommend sending personal or financial data by email. However, we offer a secure employee portal that contains valuable information and tools related to your employment. The email address is used, though, to communicate with you and to ensure our communications reach you reliably.

AdvanStaff HR invests considerably into secure systems. We have deployed Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in order to register validated devices to your account and private usernames and passwords.

New Hire Onboarding is conducted online.

Email is a proven method for providing a simple and seamless link to the “onboarding workflow” that a new hire uses to complete time-sensitive onboarding documents and set up their personal preferences. The registration link is provided directly and securely to the individual’s email inbox, initiating their registration.

The new hire will complete registration of their AdvanStaff HR online portal and have immediate access to their customized electronic onboarding documents. Starting on the right foot dramatically improves the speed and accuracy of completion, which is required for employee set-up in our payroll and timekeeping systems.
