President Trump signed into law the Families First Coronavirus Response Act on Wednesday Evening, March 18, 2020. The act is set to take effect on Thursday, April, 2. This new bill will provide employees access to expanded paid Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) protection and paid sick leave while permitting employers to claim tax credits for such mandated compensation.
